What's a good setup for playing Metal guitar?
Hey, I'm looking for a good setup amp and pedals, etc. wise for guitar. I've already got an Esp LTD Mh400NT, with active emg 81 and 85s, some of the better pickups for metal, so I'm not concerned with the guitar, but what's a good amp, pedal, and/or recording device for playing metal? Btw, I'm most into death metal, so if you know of anything that can get a good death metal sound without breaking the bank, that would be great. I kinda like the sound of the Vox AmPlug metal, but it sounds like crap when I put it in my amp and computer. Any feedback would be great, thanks.
In my own personal opinion, a line 6 spider 4 would be the best bet. Thousands of presets and effects. There so easy to use and give the heaviest, best metal sound out of any amp I've owned. I've had Marshall and fender amps before my line 6 and this blows them out of the water. I have the older model cause im broke. But check one out at a local Sam ash or guitar center or online at line6.com. you can preview some of the presets on the site. Let me know how it works of for ya.
