Vox AC15 with or without Celestion Alnico Blues Speaker?
I'm in the market for a Vox AC15 guitar amp and I've come across two different ones. One has a Celestion Alnico Blues Speaker and is about $350 more than the one without. The one without it is right about what I have budgeted for an amp right now anyway, but I'd be willing to save up a little more for the right amp. My question is... Is the difference between the two amps worth the $350 price differential? If it helps put things in perspective, I play in a band so this wouldn't just be for home use. Thanks for any input!
I have the one without the celestion. I like the sound of the Waldorf speaker in mine. It sounds very British like it should. The Celestion sounds pretty sweet, but it's $350 more??!!!?? For a speaker??? Buy the one without, play it for a while...and if you want you can change the Waldorf out for something else. Even save your pennies for a Celestion if you like. But $350 seems like a lot of coin for a speaker to me!
