Coil Tele Neck
Squier tele/stratocaster?
my statistics teacher showed me a squier he was selling, and i was intrigued by it. it had a tele body and neck (although it said strat on the headstock). it had a single coil pickup in the neck position and a humbucker at the bridge that could be split by pulling up on one of the knobs. anyone know anything like this?

I cannot think a of Squier stock model like that. Guitars assembled from parts are quite common. So are modified stock guitars. I cannot recall any stock Fender that has a Tele shaped headstock with the word Stratocaster on it. That sounds like a neck that someone has put decals (logos) on. As for the split coil pickup at the bridge, that is a common modification. Some Fender custom shop jobs had those, but I do not recall any stock Squier with it. The coil split can be done by adding a switch or by using a push pull pot (built in switch).
By the way, there is a vintage Squier guitar that has a Strat headstock shape with a Tele body shape. That was one of the Bullet series. Nothing like the current Bullets Squier makes. The vintage Bullets were very good. There is a star on the headstock Bullet logo. One version had a Strat headstock with a Tele body and the other had a Tele headstock with a Strat body. Those Bullets were made in Japan or Korea during the 80s. Again, they are very good guitars.
