Recommended calorie intake?
Hi!
I have 7 small meals in a day. Here's my daily food intake:
1--> Protein shake (1 scoop), 3 almonds, 1 banana
2--> 2 wholemeal bread slices with light peanut butter
3--> 2 muesli bars and 1 cup of flat white coffee
4--> 1 apple
5--> 1 light cream soup and 1 cup of black coffee
6--> protein shake (1 scoop), milk with 2 wheat biscuits/cornflakes
7--> 2 small cups of light yoghurt
I go to the gym 3-4 days a week in the morning. i run for about 3kms every other day (at night).
for the above food intake, my total calories is about 1950 calories. i currently weigh 86 kgs, but have some belly fat (which i want to lose). i want to attain a weight a 80kgs.
so my question is: looking at my condition, should i increase the calorie intake or is 1950 calories alright?
please let me know. i want to be fit, but not 'sick' fit!! lol!!

Where are the vegetables and fruits? I see you have the apple and bananna, but by limiting to that you are missing so many potential nutrients. It seems like all of your calories come from bread/grain carbs. If you want to lose weight try cutting back 500 calories a day. I put a link to a web site that I like to use to try to pick out the bests foods. Sometimes at the end of a day I go back and tally up all the foods i have eaten and look at the list and see how i compare. good luck, keep up the good work with the gym too!
