Another tube amp question, help?
Its a 1979 vibrosonic reverb fender tube amp.
I just purchased a vibrato/reverb footswitch for it.
When i hit the reverb channel, i get alot of hum, almost like a boost, and when i actually play i get a sound that resembles playing with a bad cable. (that KRRRRR sound) only much much louder. My cables are new, i got them less than a month ago. I also tried going direct, but still the same. Am i using it wrong somehow? or do i just have to return it?
I also tried switching the rca jacks into the opposite pedal inputs... still the same. Is it most likely a grounding issue with my pedal?

As funny as it may seem, that sound you are hearing is probably from a faulty Tube which happens oftteeeennnn in Fender Tube amps. When it does that sound, stop playing and lightly tap one of the 6L6 tube or whatever tube you have. Those are the big tubes.
If it stops after tapping, then you have the answer 
Replace that tube.
