Gold Les Paul
Gibson Les Paul question. PLEASE HELP!!!?
I want to build my own Les Paul guitar. However, I want it with only ONE pickup right between the neck and the bridge, and a Floyd-Rose Whammy bridge. Where can I find an uncut body for cheap? Can I make my own body by buying wood at Home Depot (Would it have the same quality sound)? Could I take an existing Les Paul body and cut an indentation for the whammy bridge, install one pickup, and install a piece of wood in the other pickup whole?

I think it's obvious that you don't really know what goes into building a guitar. Like many other endeavors, it's better to just talk to a pro. In this case, a pro is a luthier, or a stringed instrument builder. Home Depot sells lumber, not wood. Lumber is wood designed for construction. Guitars are built out of exotic aged woods, carefully selected for grain structure. They are book matched and assembled precisely for accuracy of sound. The neck is an art in itself. You won't be able to do it.
