Lace Sensor Holy
Which is better in your opinion, Lace Sensor pickups, or any set of Fender pickups?
I'm toying with the idea of building a Franken-Strat based on parts that I like. I have the body (80's fender elite) and neck (hendrix reverse) figured out but I am not sure about which set of 3 pickups I would prefer. I could go with the modern (and very expensive) new Lace Sensor pickups (I was thinking their Holy Grail series) or I also am considering some Fender pickups like their Texas Special (sort of spendy but not as much). Money is an issue, but for the right pickups, I could make it work. Opinions????
The only ones I can comment on are the Lace pickups... they are HOT! I love the sound they put out, and they are really pretty. I do think that the decision really lies with you and what kind of sound you want. Get what you think you will like for the ammount of money you've allowed yourself. I know it can get expensive, but you can always upgrade later.
