How do I restring a 3/4 acoustic guitar?
My friend has a 3/4 size acoustic guitar that he'd like me to restring. I've restrung my full-size electric before, but I'm a bit unsure of how to tackle his. It's a low-build quality child's guitar that he's probably had for a few years, so I want to avoid ripping anything off with too much tension.
Specifically, what gauge of string should I use, how much string should I leave past the peg and how many coils would suffice, and how could I create enough tension to have standard t E-e tuning without making it unplayable? I know how to restring it, but I just need to know the details.
In case it matters, the model is the Amigo AM22 3/4 size steel string acoustic.

3/4 size guitars are restrung exactly the same way you'd string a full-size guitar.
I'd put light-gauge strings on it, or maybe even silk-n-steel strings, to reduce the amount of string tension. Of course, if its a low-quality, inexpensive guitar, the action may be higher than you'd like; hopefully it has an adjustable truss rod that you can tweak to lower the action? But you should be able to tune it to standard E-e tuning with no problems.
