Strat Pickguard Power
Guitar build question?!?
so i got this old guitar that i got from a friend.
it is a Behringer "fender strat" copy.
so i have reshaped the body and painted it ice blue.
it wil be really simple.
i got one gibson lp custom neck humbucer.
the volume knob and output.
so how do i wire this simple electronics?
And another question.
i wil make a Plexiglas pickguard and have a 9v battery inside the guitar that wil power some LED that i wil glue into the Plexiglas so the pickguard lights.
if it is possible to get it blinking so how do i do it?
i got lots of standard electronics so that isn't a problem.
plaaaay that funky music whildboy!!
Hello there,
Here is a wiring diagram. 1HB 1V 1T

If you have a 4 conductor lead wire, you could do a coil tap to give you some diversity. That is a different diagram, but that web site has one.
You did not mention what bridge you are using. I assume you have a Strat style tremolo bridge on your guitar. If so, you want to check the string spacing. Gibson and Fender used to use different string spacings. So if you have a Fender spaced bridge, the strings will not be centered over the poles of a Gibson space pickup. You do need to match you string spacing of your pickups to your bridge. (Some of the newer cheaper Epiphones do not use Gibson string spacing).
Sorry, but I cannot help you with the LED. I have never wired one.
