what would be a good 2nd guitar?
i have been racking my brains for about 4 months now on a 2nd guitar and i have had no luck what so ever i play metal , rock, some blues and a little pop i bought a bc rich sob avenge as my first guitar and hated the sound and the bolt on neck so please don't say any bolt on neck electric guitars i only want solid body guitars with set necks and please no fender i hate the sound and style of the tele and strat
i have a line 6 spider 3 15amp which sounds good on a hellraiser but i can not afford 800.00 i am only willing to spend 500 at tops so any help would be nice
what i want is 24 extra jumbo frets
set neck
good tone
and above all playability
Set necks don't have anything to do with good tone. They might add to the sustain, but I have a PRS CE-24 (don't be confused with the cheap SE model), and it has a bolt on neck. It has incredible tone and endless sustain, and amazing playability. The next guitar is my strat, which was made in the 80's, and it has a great tone.
That being said, I can't recommend a particular guitar... but I would say that Schecter has really good set-neck guitars in your price range, so check those out.
