Valve King
Could i mix a 4x12 and a 2x12 on the same guitar amp?
...I was looking into buying a 2x12 cab to go with my carvin 4x12 i have already. I'm using a peavey valve king and its set at 8 ohms.
If you have the Valve King Peavey, ita 100 watts (rms) that can switch from 16, 8, or 4 ohms. If you have one 8-ohm cab, you can connect another 8-ohm, irrelevant if it is 2 x 12, 4 x 12 or 4 x 10. etc...
If you have a 4-ohm cab, then you cannot as the amp is pushing at its max at 4-ohm. You can connect the extra cab behind the other 4 x 12 or connect them separately. Same effect.
